Stone House Art Gallery is pleased to present Confetti Chamber, a collection of new works by Meredith Morrison. Through systematic compositions, these works seek to embrace collisions of past remembrance with future fantasy to explore the liminal space of quiet angst, accompanied by ritual acknowledgement. Each work is crafted through intuition, meditative labor, and repetition to bind process-based works with experimentation rooted in traditional fiber and craft techniques. Morrison considers the ritual mark-making practices associative to birthday celebrations, while reflecting on experiences both personal and universal to inform the building of elaborate designs and material assemblages created for Confetti Chamber. The result  presents an uncanny playhouse of illusory unwieldy objects, toggling between the anxieties of time, pleasure, and ritual.

Confetti Chamber is on view now by appointment only at SHAG through June 22nd. A closing reception will take place from 6-9pm on Thursday, June 23rd.
